Central, close to busses and metro, excellent breakfasts, terrific roof top bar and restaurant. A real treasure!

The Dorian Inn is just off Omonia Square, which is a slightly 'dodgey' area of Athens - watch out for pickpockets in the area. Once inside the hotel, however, the experience was great.

As hotels are fairly expensive in Athens, this hotel is good value for money, but should you require a bit more luxury, it is worth to spend a few Euros more for a 4 or 5 star hotel. The area the hotel is located in is a bit risky, especially down the side streets to take a shortcut to the Plaka. If you only intend to sleep in the hotel, this hotel will suit your purposes, otherwise upgrade to a 4 or 5 star hotel, but be prepared to pay substantially more then.

The Dorian Inn Hotel is situated "downtown" with an abundabce of drug dealers and prostitutes hanging around the entrance and pavement outside. There is a small road to the left of the hotel where drugs seem to be bought, sold and consumed. There are many beggars and homeless people sleeping rough within close proximity of the hotel. My wife did not feel safe leaving the hotel during the day let alone in the evening.
The Hotel is pleasent enough and is being renovated from the upper floors down, floors 12-10 have been completed thus far and these are the rooms on thier web site. In all I would recommend this hotel to someone staying for one or two nights but no longer.

The hotel is in a good location for transport around the city. It has a wonderful rooftop bar and pool with panoramic views. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant is not of the same standard as the rest of the hotel. It has no atmosphere.
The food is very limited, of poor quality and expensive. The lifts in the very tall building are not adequate, causing long delays even during quiet periods.

If you visit the Acropolis, go very early in the morning when it is cooler and not swarming with other tourists. It opens at 08.00
