We went half board and although this is cheaper there were some restrictions. We were allowed to eat in Le Balcon restaurant for two nights but were restricted to just two choices for each course but they didn't charge us for water or my first beer. The Frame restaurant on the otherhand allowed us to choose from the menu but charged us for water and didn't give us the option to refuse it.
Top Tip
As the hotel is on a hill unless you are superfit then as you have probably been walking most of the day round the historical sites then break your journey up back to the hotel by stopping off for a drink in say Kolonaki Sq. You should take a trip up Lycabettus hill to St Georges church even if you just go for the view over Athens. The cable car is the easiest way if your not that fit. Make sure you buy a 12Euro ticket for the Acropolis as it gets you into 5 other chargeable places like Temple of Zeus etc. Be careful of times as most of the sites close at 3pm and stop allowing entry at 2:30pm
